Guest Policy
Members are encouraged to bring guest to the YMCA.  A guest may accompany a member for free 3 times a year. 
Youth guest must be accompanied by an adult member.  If an adult member is not present, the youth guest may purchase a youth day pass.
Day Pass Fees:
Youth $5.00 - Adult $10.00 - Family $20.00

Weather Closing Policy
Level 1 Snow Emergency - Open, All Programs on Schedule
Level 2 Snow Emergency - YMCA will open at 8:00am Monday - Saturday; Sunday regular hours. No Programs/Classes or Childwatch
Level 3 Snow Emercency - The Putnam County YMCA is CLOSED

Thunder & Lightning - When there is lightning in the immediate area, the pool will be closed until 30 minutes after the storm has passed or the last lightning strike is noted.  Scheduled pool classes are postponed or cancelled during this time.

Cancellations/Closings - Can be heard or seen on the following stations 1150AM, 102.1FM, 103.3FM, 107.5FM, 93.9FM, 106.3FM, WLIO TV

YMCA Rules & Regulations
  1. Membership cards must be presented when entering the YMCA
  2. No Smoking is allowed in the YMCA
  3. Glass Containers are not permitted in the building
  4. All food and drink must stay in the lobby area
  5. Damage or repair cost to the YMCA facility or equipment will be paid by the responsible party
  6. Foul language will not be tolerated.  Any person using foul language towards a staff member will be asked to leave
  7. Tennis shoes with non-marking soles must be worn in the gymnasium
  8. Children suspended from school are not permitted in the YMCA during school hours
  9. An adult must accompany children under the age of 8 while in the YMCA
  10. No one under 10yrs old may be in the fitness center.  Members 10-15yrs old may use the wellness center if they are accompanied by a parent at all times and have completed 3 orientations.
  11. Shoes and shirts must be worn in the facility at all times.
  12. Building doors are locked 15 minutes before closing.
  13. Payment for all classes and programs offered at the Putnam County YMCA must be made before participant can be registered.  Payment can be made with check, cash, Discover, Visa or MasterCard. 
Personal Trainers:
30 minute session - $10.00
1 hour session - $20.00
Five - 1 hour sessions - $100.00
Ten - 1 hour sessions - $200.00
1 hour one-on-one session with written plan to follow independently - $40.00
Written plan to follow independently.  Includes Personal Trainer interview and demonstration - $25.00

A.W.A.Y. Program
Don't leave home without your YMCA membership card.  It grants you entrance to over 90% of YMCA's across the country for free or reduced fee.  Here at the Putnam County YMCA, A.W.A.Y.  (Always Welcome at the YMCA) visitors can use our facility 12 times per calendar year.  There will be a $4.00 charge after the 12th visit.

Refund Policy
Refunds or credits will be received by the participant according to the Putnam County YMCA bill paying schedule.  All refunds will be made by check.  No cash refunds will be given out.  Refunds and credits will be given in the following circumstances only.
  • Full refund if the entire class is cancelled
  • Credits and refunds are not given due to classes cancelled due to weather or holidays
  • No refunds will be given after the first day of classes, except for illness or injury, which requires a doctor's excuse.  A $5.00 service fee will be charged.
  • Membership fees and fitness are not refundable
  • Credits may be applied to programs only.
Open Door Financial Aid
The YMCA's Open Doors Membership Program ensures everyone can become a member.  A fee schedule, based on income, determines an appropriate membership rate for each applicant.  Members who qualify for assistance under this program receive Full YMCA membership benefits and are required to show proof of income on their renewal date yearly.  The United Way of Putnam County and contributors to the YMCA's Strong Kids Annual Support Campaign make this program possible.  Donations made to the Putnam County YMCA are tax deductible.
